Low-Temperature Ball Valve with Extended Stem

LNG, liquid nitrogen, and liquid oxygen are very cold. Normal seals get hard and break. The cold also moves up the stem and freezes the handle. Our Low Temperature Ball Valve with Extended Stem is made for this. The "D" in DQ41F-16P means low temperature. The long stem keeps the handle or actuator away from the cold area. This stops frost and protects your hand from freezing. The body is made of 304 or 316 stainless steel. We do a deep cold treatment at -196°C. This removes stress in the material. The seal is PCTFE or PTFE. It stays flexible from -196°C to +80°C.

We calculate the stem length of our Low Temperature Ball Valve with Extended Stem based on the media temperature. The handle always stays above 0°C. Compared to a normal valve, the cold loss is reduced by over 70%. So it is safer and lasts longer. Each valve gets a cryogenic seal test with liquid nitrogen at -196°C. This makes sure there is zero leak at extreme conditions. We made DN50 low temperature ball valves for an LNG station. The media was -162°C LNG. The valve ran for 2 years. It was still easy to turn. The seal was still tight. We give a deep cold treatment report and a cryogenic test report with every valve.
